The Great Race 2018


It’s the time of year again for The Great Race Myles Keogh Paddle, Wheel & Run in Auburn, NY.  The race takes places August 12, 2018 at 930 AM at Emerson Park.

The Great Race is named after Captain Myles Keogh a post Civil War hero who died at Little Big Horn with Colonel Custer in his famous "Last Stand” and is buried in the Fort Hill Cemetery in Auburn.

Summit is a proud sponsor of this annual event that consists of five-person teams competing in a relay race of runners, bikers and paddlers (canoe or kayak.) There is still time to register if you’d like to participate you can sign up until Friday, August 10th, 2018 at 5 PM online here.

The race consists of canoe, kayak, and tandem teams with a new team offering this year including paddle-boarding. There will also be 71 different reward categories. 

Be a part of this amazing and historical event and come out to support your local community. There will be live entertainment, vendors, food and beverages and of course the participants would appreciate being cheered on during the race! Also make sure to look for Summit and to stop by and say hello.
